All Souls was built on land given by Sir Oswald Mosley, who laid the foundation stone on 26th October 1839. It was consecrated on 18th November 1840. Its first minister was Dr. Samuel Warren, a former Methodist.
All Souls church was situated on Every street Ancoats. It finally closed in 1984. When the church finally closed a member of the parochial church council (Anne Worthington) was entrusted with looking after the memorials.

In 1960 St. Andrews merged with All Souls church. A memorial from St. Andrews was housed in All Souls church. The memorial was for those men who died world war two. We believe the St. Andrews memorial in the church had been stolen sometime between the church closing & 1988 when the church was used as a warehouse. The wall mounting still remains but the brass plaque are missing. As far as we have been able to find out, nothing has been seen of it. Like so many it may have been stolen and sold for scrap? This is a list of names that appeared on the missing memorial
